We’re heard that a few of you struggle with accessing your company Gmail<\/strong><\/a> accounts. Issues can include slow viewing times, poor internet connectivity, and organizational challenges. For Mac Outlook 2011<\/strong><\/a> users, there’s a fairly simple solution. After this process, you’ll be able to view all of your emails locally, keeping an offline copy of them on your Mac<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Here is how to configure your Mac Outlook 2011<\/strong> account to download your Google<\/strong> company mail.<\/p>\n

1- First, you need to enable your POP Download from your Gmail<\/strong> account. You begin by clicking on Settings.<\/p>\n

2- Now, you need to click on the Forwarding Tab.<\/p>\n

3- Next, enable POP download according to your needs.<\/p>\n

4- Open your Outlook<\/strong> mail. Select Tools–> Accounts<\/p>\n

5- Choose an account type.\u00a0 For this example, we\u2019re talking about adding Google<\/strong> mail, so that will be a POP account.<\/p>\n

6- Enter account description, ex. Mad Max…(this should be the same as your Gmail<\/strong> account).<\/p>\n

7- Enter your full email address, e.x. mmax@mydomain.com<\/em><\/p>\n

8- Enter your user name: username@ mydomain.com<\/em><\/p>\n

9- Enter your email password.<\/p>\n

10- Incoming server: pop.gmail.com<\/em> (imap not supported for Mac Outlook<\/strong> yet).<\/p>\n

11- Checkbox: “use ssl<\/em>”<\/p>\n

12- Outgoing Server: smtp.gmail.com<\/em><\/p>\n

13- Checkbox: “use ssl”<\/em><\/p>\n

14- Outgoing port number: 465<\/em><\/p>\n

15- Click on more options..<\/p>\n

16- Authentication: “User Name and Password”<\/em><\/p>\n

17- User name: username@mydomain.com<\/em><\/p>\n

18- Your email password<\/p>\n

19- Click OK.<\/em><\/p>\n

Congratulations, you’re finished! You can now view all of your emails through your Outlook account.<\/p>\n
