What Is Plywood ?<\/h3>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

as a building material is very widely used due to its many useful properties. It is an economical sheet of wood with precise\ndimensions factory produced that does not warp or crack with changes in atmospheric moisture.<\/p>\n \n \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Plywood is an engineered wood product made from three or more 'layers' or thin sheets of wood. These are glued together to form\na thicker, flat sheet. The logs used to make plywood as a building material are prepared by steaming or dipping in hot water.<\/p>\n \n \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

They\nare then fed into a lathe machine, which peels the log into thin layer of veneer. each ply is usually between 1 and 2.5 mm thick.\nPlywood consists of the face, core, and back. The face is the surface that is visible after installation, while the core lies between the\nface and back.<\/p>\n \n \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\n <\/div>\n

Plywood is used in many applications that need high-quality, high-strength sheet material. Quality in this context means resistance to cracking, breaking, shrinkage, twisting and warping.\n<\/p>\n \n \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Exterior glued plywood is suitable for outdoor use, but because moisture affects the strength of wood, optimal performance is achieved where the moisture content remains relatively low. Subzero conditions do not affect the dimensional or strength properties of plywood, making some special applications possible.<\/p>\n \n \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\n <\/div>\n
